The 23rd January marks the date for the opening of the 47th annual Boot Düsseldorf Boat Show, which, in 2015, attracted almost one quarter of a million boating and water sports enthusiasts from 60 countries across the globe. The staggering exhibition centre in Düsseldorf is the venue for the world’s largest boat and water sports trade fair, which is set to last until 31st January and will incorporate boat premieres, new water sports gear, equipment and maritime services from over 1,500 exhibitors, offering visitors a glimpse at the latest gadgetry and equipment for most water activities.
A staggering 1,550 yachts will also feature at this year’s event, including a host of both sailing and motor yachts to fit every bill, including ‘family-friendly’ yachts, ‘wave-cutters’ and ‘sleek and sexy’ motor yachts. Boot Düsseldorf will attract experts from every field within the industry, offering guests the opportunity to meet boat builders, sea bears and sail makers. Lectures will also be offered by reputable speakers.
In January 2015, the most popular attractions with visitors were the 20 experience and themed worlds, which offered participants the opportunity to get wet and wild and experience a host of water sports inside the exhibition spaces.
In a large swimming pool, inside the exhibition space in hall 14, visitors will be able to try their hand at sailing small dinghies; hall 12 will enable fishing fans to learn from the best; and in all 13 a 90m long river will flow, allowing those who dare the opportunity to test kayaks and canoes. A makeshift beach will be established in hall 1, which will cover an area of over
1,000m2 and enable water sports enthusiasts to try out kites and boards. Hall 4 will accommodate technological inspiration for those with an interest in underwater photography and filming.
Prospective holidaymakers will gain ample inspiration for their dream vacations. From learning about fun, unusual water sports and activities, to discovering exotic destinations, visitors will learn a great deal about the opportunities that are on offer within the industry. They will then be offered the option of booking their dream getaway, as hall 14 – the cruise pavilion – will house qualified booking agents to guide you through the organising process.
The list of alluring activities is endless, but it is guaranteed that Boot Düsseldorf will exceed the expectations of every visitor.
