SmartYacht Exhibits at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017

The Cannes Yachting Festival has closed for another year, rounding out an exceptional show for SmartYacht, who marked the event with a dramatically reduced price on fractional ownership of its Sunseeker 66 model.

The Cannes Yachting Festival celebrated its 40th year in grand style in September with six stunning days of VIP yacht viewings, glamorous events, and exhibits by more than 500 brands. As the largest in-water boat show in Europe with over 600 yachts on display, the 2017 edition consolidated Cannes’ reputation for yacht launches, with a staggering 108 models enjoying their Mediterranean or global debut. Approximately 50,000 visitors passed through the show in 2017.

Of course, where there are luxury yachts on show, there will always be luxury brands to complement them, and this year’s show dazzled with the return of the Cannes Luxury Gallery with exhibits by premium brands, as well as the newest model supercars on show at the Maserati Lounge.

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 offered the ultimate opportunity to showcase top products and services to the tens of thousands of yachting enthusiasts that poured through the show gates.

Jerome Fragnon represented SmartYacht at their Cannes booth. Our fractional yacht ownership solution attracted attention from show attendees interested in experiencing yacht ownership at a fraction of the cost.

SmartYacht took the opportunity to announce a special ‘Cannes Yacht Show Only’ reduced rate of EUR 550,000 for their Sunseeker 66 yacht, a drastic reduction from the normal rate of EUR 650,000. The new Sunseeker Manhattan 66 was only launched this year at the 2017 London Boat Show, where the prestigious Robb Report magazine reported that it ‘feels like a much larger yacht’, with its four stateroom layout, deep V hull for stability, light-filled interior, and drop-down beach club.

If you missed out on visiting the SmartYacht booth during the show, don’t worry: SmartYacht’s Sunseeker 66 is available for viewings in Nice Old Port, and its co-owners have the opportunity to cruise the Mediterranean in summer and Dubai or the tropical Seychelles in the winter months.

As well as yacht shares, SmartYacht also offers sole ownership, yacht management, and yacht charter solutions, meaning that the SmartYacht stand at the Cannes Yachting Festival proved a one-stop-shop for people interested in the full range of yacht ownership and charter experiences.

As events like the Cannes Yachting Festival grow and more people are drawn to the luxury yachting lifestyle, companies like SmartYacht offering different, cost-effective pathways to the superyacht experience are enjoying a meteoric rise.
