One of the beauties of taking out one of our boat shares is the prospect of endless sun downers on the deck of your luxury yacht in some of the most beautiful bays in the world.
But there will be times, we imagine, that you will be keen to leave the constant motioning of the boat and step ashore for that first drink of the night, in a waterside bar.
So we have consulted Condé Nast Traveller’s Gold Standard Bars and Beach Clubs pick for 2014, and are delighted to inform clients using our affordable yacht share scheme that a number are tantalizingly close to our cruising ground.
Check out the following 24-carat venues which we dare you not to miss when you are on holiday on a boat share:
- In Ibiza, head to the Experimental Cocktail Club, in Las Salinas, for some truly memorable aperitifs. The setting at Cap d’es Falco couldn’t be more perfect: the atmosphere is as chilled as it can be, and the cocktail menu is simply sublime.
- If you are taking your boat share to the Canary Islands, make sure you factor in a stop at 10.7 in Formentera. This popular bar on Migjorn Beach is seriously laid back, with bamboo awnings and comfortable day beds, yet the food is excellent and you will find it nearly impossible to leave after an evening on the homemade sangria.
- If you are keen to visit Turkey on your sailing holiday, Condé Nast recommends that you pay a trip to Macakizi, a favourite haunt of celebrity guests such as Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone and Richard Gere.
- For those of you heading to Barcelona, a bar not to miss is the Salt Beach Club, the latest addition to the W Hotel. The wooden beach hut is the perfect place to kick off the evening before heading out to other night spots of Barcelona or, perhaps, back to the peace and quiet of your yacht.
